The genre of music that i will be doing for my music magazine is 'Hip Hop' and this is the main reason why i chose this magazine cover to analyse. I know this is a 'Hip Hop' magazine because of the medium close up is of Tinie Tempah and he is someone who makes this type of music. The colours as well are very basic but the cover itself looks quite colourful, and i think that 'Hip Hop' music could be known as colourful and vibrant and so this is the reason why this magazine cover is like this.
The cover has Tinie Tempah on it and i think the clothes that he is wearing represents the magazine and also the type of music he does. As the sub-title says '25th Anniversary - collectors edition' and so Tinie Tempah is dressed in a suit as if he is going somewhere special, just as this magazine is saying itself is.
The target audience for this magazine would be a mixture of people but this will appeal to the younger generation of people as many of the older generation wouldn't like his type of music.
The type of shot that has been used on the front cover of Tinie Tempah is a medium-close up and i think this is because to show what clothes he is wearing, like he is clearly doing the buttons on his top up as if he is going somewhere special. This is then backed up by the fact that this magazine is the 25th anniversary. The main piece of text saying 'Tinie Tempah' is written like a signature and something you would see on a CD cover, i think this shows again what type of music he does. He is also wearing glasses on the cover and i think this is because he is known as someone who is very fashionable and cool and someone who takes everything seriously.
