Research and Planning - Evaluation of College Magazine

I believe that the font sizes that i have chosen for my college magazine are appropriate and the right size. My masthead is the biggest piece of text on the cover page as it needs to stand out. The rest of my page all has the same size text and this is to give it the professional look and it doesn't all look different. My magazine does fit the three colour rule as i really only use one colour for the text which is black. I have chosen this colour because i believe it looks best with a white background.
I think you can easily tell that the college magazine cover and also the contents page are from the same magazine. I think you can tell that they are part of the same magazine because both pages have a simple white background and the fonts that i have used on each pages are both the same which makes them look alike.
I think that the photos that i have taken are well taken because the cover page is a picture of a student who looks to be hard at work, so i believe that this fits in with the college magazine theme. The second image which is on my contents page is of the college, i think this fits well on the contents page because the contents page is the beginning of the magazine and the college is the first thing that you see when you turn up.
I think that the stories that i have included on my magazine cover and contents page will be of great interest to the reader. Some of the stories that i have chosen to put on the magazine are new things that have been added to the college so the students would like to know what new things are at the college and what they do. I have also chosen to do a story about a trip to 'Go Ape' and described what happens there.

Research and Planning: College Magazine Anaylsis

This magazine is something that i looked at because i thought it would help me out a lot when it came for me to do my own magazine. I knew this was a college magazine mainly because of the main masthead saying 'College' but also for other reasons, some of them being the main stories on either side of the image are all to do with college, an example of this is 'College Couture' and also the main image in the centre of the page, the person has things related to college in his hand. This magazine also has a barcode, which is on the bottom left of the page. It also has a date and issue number and all of this i will involve in my own magazine that i will create.

This is where i had three separate images, i cut out each one with the magic wand and put them on to one document. I then changed the colour of each instrument by using the colour balance. Once i had moved them to where i wanted, i added text and changed the font and size. Finally, i changed the background by using the wave filter tool.

Here i have edited a girl, i started off by removing the spots. I have added some makeup and added more color in her face.

This is where i completed the photo shop challenge. i created a piece of text and changed the size, font and also the colour. I then changed the colour of the background to blue and added an image, after that i changed the hair colour and then i added a border after wards.

This is a tutorial that i completed on in design, here i learned how to use a film review and copy it on in design and i used pictures. I then learned how to change the background colour and finally how to add a title.
